You know what I’m afraid of? Horror movies, running out of coffee, and snakes. You know what I’m NOT afraid of? PDA. In fact, I am all about it, especially when I’m photographing a gorgeous and super in-love couple like Britney and Joe, who were constantly stealing kisses and wrapping themselves up in each other throughout their engagement session!
Our shoot started at Historic Smithville Mansion, and then we moved to Smithville Lake and North Branch Rancocas Creek to change things up a little bit. I love that I didn’t have to prompt them at all to lean in and get close, either. Can’t you feel that passion and heat through your screen? YOWZA!
I asked these two about the start of their love story, and Britney told me “We met on Facebook and started talking before COVID. Joe came to my place in the beginning of covid to have dinner that he bought and made! We chatted the night away and it was absolutely perfect. I knew that day that I was going to marry this guy!” (Facebook for the win! - Rick and I met and started talking on FB, however I didn't get a home cooked meal until much later in our relationship, lol) As for the proposal, Joe popped the question on Christmas Eve in front of my oldest son Julian!! I love stories like this were children are involved in the proposal - it's the start of a new family.
When I asked Britney about the details she was most excited about for your upcoming wedding, I was expecting something along the lines of her dress, the food or cake, but her response pleasantly surprised me. She said, "OMG, my fiancé, he's the best thing about our wedding! I can't wait to spend a life time with him!" How genuine and sweet is that?!?
We can't wait to spend the day with Britney and Joe and photograph the big day next September at Paris Caterers in Berlin, NJ. Until then, here's a few more photos from their engagement session last March.
